Marcelo Donato shares his interests in space, architecture and scenery with his passion for literature, film, music and painting. He was born in Argentina and studied Architecture at the National University of La Plata. In 1980 he travelled to Mexico where he studied scenography at the National School of Theatrical Art. There he created his first designs for sets, costumes and lighting. He has lived between Italy and France from 1985 to 1997, working as a set designer especially for dance. Before returning to Argentina he studied film and video at the ESEC. He has lived in Ottawa for the last fifteen years. He works in CHIN Radio where he hosts Perspectango, a CEMA Awards winner radio show (2021) every second Monday at 8 pm. His books Entre bambalinas, and Picasso’s Curtain have obtained respectively the First Prize in the First Book Category (2017), and Honourable Mention (2021) at the International Latino Book Awards.
