Laury Leite
Literary

Laury Leite was born in Mexico City in 1984. His first novel, “En la soledad de un cielo muerto” (English title “Night Has Fallen Here”), was published in Spain and the United States in 2017 to widespread critical acclaim. He has also published short stories, essays, and interviews in anthologies and literary magazines. published in Spain 2020. In January 2019 he did a writer’s residence at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. He is currently writing “El tiempo, el lugar y nosotros”, his third novel, with support from the Canada Council for the Arts and also the Toronto Arts Council. His work has been translated to English and Italian. He lives in Toronto with his wife and their two dogs.
